Overview

Chromatin is a personal AI operating system. Your vault is yours. We are committed to keeping it that way. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your name and email address when you apply for access or create an account.
• Usage data — anonymized, aggregate information about how features are used, to improve the product.
• Crash reports — see Analytics section below.

We do not collect, read, or store the content of your vault, notes, or projects.

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Chromatin application
• Communicate with you about your account and access
• Improve the performance and reliability of the app

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Analytics

Chromatin collects basic crash reports to help us fix bugs. These reports contain device and software information but no vault content or personal data. You can opt out in Settings.

Data Storage

Your vault data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to the contents of your vault. Any syncing features operate with end-to-end encryption; we cannot read what is synced.

Third-Party Services

Chromatin may connect to third-party services at your direction (e.g. calendar, task managers). Those services are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the services you have explicitly connected.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Since your vault lives on your device, deleting the app removes your local data. For any account-level data held by us, contact us at the address below.
